Rev. Daniel Wright
Presiding Priest
Fr Daniel grew up in Electra, Texas in a non-denominational, Protestant church. He graduated from Colorado Christian University in 2004. He then studied at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary near Boston, where he met Presbytera Sarah. Father and Presbytera were received into the Orthodox Church on June 7, 2008 and were married a week later. After completing an M.A. in Philosophy at the University of Oklahoma, Fr Daniel continued on to earn a PhD in Religious Studies (Philosophical Theology) from the University of Virginia in 2018. While completing the PhD, he also enrolled at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology and graduated with an MDiv degree in May of 2020. Fr Daniel began serving at St Nicholas in September of 2020. He and Presbytera have three children: Andrew, Ella, and George. Fr Daniel enjoys teaching, reading classic literature, playing golf badly, drinking good coffee, and getting to know you.
